Not only has the game made it to Steam, it’s making an appearance during the Steam Fall Next Fest this week with a new playable demo.Ī mix of classic Metroidvania gameplay and dating sims, Romancelvania sees you play as the legendary playboy (or playgirl) vampire himself (or herself), Drac, as you battle and romance your way across Transylvania. I didn't get the bugs and stuff like you do though and I played up to turn 230 or so, game was still working fine. It’s been a long while since we last talked about The Deep End Games’ darkly comic dating action game Romancelvania. That said I remember that stuf happening even back in TW1, sometimes the AI just decides there's no good move and without external interaction they decide there's no good move every turn. Also smack down the middle of the Empire land controlled by endless endgame stacks of orcs, there was one settlement from some random rebel empire faction, with no army in sight and no one took it. Similarly there's some Skaven rebels that have seemingly controlled a single settlement for 200 turns, I ran into them randomly trying to get the settlement to gift to Queek. During my final push to finish I found Nakai lost in the mountains south of Sylvania, apparently he stopped moving there after losing his settlements, he declared war on me as I was passing by and got smoked. There were definitely some factions not doing well though. Vampires and Empire were also gone due to endgame greatest Waagh, some orcs took over almost the whole thing, only Balthazar retained decent lands. Ulthuan however was entirely taken over by Morathi and Nkari, the high elf factions were completely gone besides Imrik. Mine seemed fine, Imrik had dragons and the other armies they had also had dragons. Good economy in the late game and good LLs) Weirdly the Huntermarshal’s expedition is in a great starting position now) and Dwarfs ( a lot of people love their playstyle so I’m not advocating for changes, but I cannot stand the grudge system and the unit roster’s overall lack of mobility and defensive play style. S tier: High Elves (outside of a few bugs they are better across the board compared to the second game)Ī tier: Cathay (kind of slim unit roster but it’s good, they also have the best start position in the game and a great economy) and Bretonnia (play more or less identically to the second game, although I think peasants are slightly weaker and knights slightly stronger, good economy and start positions across the board)ī tier: Kislev (awesome unit roster, LLs, and heroes offset by brutal start position and mediocre economy)Ĭ tier: Empire (bland and mediocre early and mid game unit roster, annoying mechanics and a much harder start position than game 3 if you play in the Empire proper. I’ve played all of the traditional ordertide factions now (I have not played Lizardmen, Wood Elves, or Tomb Kings yet although I’m not sure I would classify those 3 as ordertide necessarily), and here is how I would rate them based on a combination of objective power and my personal playstyle preferences:
